Ok, so really the snow we got was barely worth mentioning, but at least we finally got some.  It didn’t stay pretty for very long though.  The temperatures went up and now it is raining/sleeting.  So rather than a nice, pretty snow tomorrow morning, we’re more likely wake up to a thick sheet of ice.  Maybe we’ll get a little snow on top.  At least that would be pretty.  I just hope we get home before it gets bad this afternoon.  This could really get ugly. 

Let’s see, what else…I had a very busy weekend.  I went to Nashville, went with my mother to get my baby registries done (Mark just wasn’t up for it…he would never have been as patient and indulgent as my mother was), got material for the baby quilt my mother is making for Anna, and generally wore myself (and my poor mother) out.  It really was a lot of fun, but sooooo very overwhelming.  I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted, but there are just so many options on everything.  I think it took half an hour to decide on what kind of bottles to get….which is really nothing compared to how long the carseats and strollers took!  Anyway, both registries are done.  I’m still playing around with them a little here and there, but the big things are staying as they are. 

I did buy 2 of my big items (with the money given to me for that purpose from Anne).  I got our infant carrier/carseat and the jogging stroller Mark picked out (not for jogging).  Neither have been taken out of their box yet.  I thought for sure since the stroller was Mark’s one request, that he’d want to check it out, but nooooo.  Oh, and this stroller is to use around the farm since it has more rugged tires (not plastic wheels) and actual shocks.  It also has a little speaker (which I’m sure doesn’t sound all that great) that you can hook your iPod, CD player, etc. into.  I was a big fan of that feature.  Even though I don’t (gasp!) yet have an iPod.  We’ll have to fix that problem!

I’ve also been sick for the last 3 days or so.  I’ve been so lucky this winter to have not gotten sick before now.  Usually by mid-December I’ve had at least one cold.  So I guess I can’t complain too much.  I feel a little better today, but still not 100%.  So, Katie, I’m sorry I haven’t returned your calls, but I’ve not been awake and alert enough much lately.  I’ll try to do better.
